Rochelle Walensky, MD
Dr. Walensky serves as Chief Scientific and Policy Advisor to Madryn Asset Management, LP. She brings unparalleled expertise in infectious disease, public health policy, and healthcare systems to Madryn's investment process, providing critical insight into the clinical and regulatory landscape for portfolio companies.
Dr. Walensky most recently served as the 19th Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2021 to 2023. Prior to her role at the CDC, she was Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where she was internationally recognized for her research on HIV/AIDS and infectious disease epidemiology.
